Accommodation in France is varied depending on your budget, ranging from just a bed for the night (Campanile) up to the very best 4* hotels.
Campanile, like Premiere Classe are in every French town and city, so long as you are out of the summer season you will be able to turn up with out pre booking, the best feature of these is the late credit card payment system - turn up, put your card in the machine, punch a few details (inc if you want breakfast) then your key is dispensed to you, good clean rooms, and the on site Cafe bar serves excellent meals.
I have started to put together a list of accommodation that I have stayed at and would recommend, although this is based on personal preferences, as a Manager in the hospitality trade I would like to think that I know what people are looking for.....
Always check out the City Breaks holiday from your travel agent and look at the Euro Tunnel deals - we have had breaks inc. tunnel travel with the accommodation practically free (Lille)
