- Place Des Héros - follow signs for Hotel de Ville
- Check for opening times, normally 9am - 12 & 1500 - 1700, different times on sundays.
- Parking in the Place des Heros (except on market days), small charge.
- Very good place for meals and accomadation
- Designed by Walter Seymour Allward and unveiled on July 26 1936 in the presence of King Edward VIII and M Victor Maistiau, Burgomaster of Mons.
- The 2 towers symbolize Canada and France and the figure, carved from one 30 ton block of stone is Canada mourning her dead.
